The recipient of the "Redskins Rookie Of The Year" award is running back Samaje Perine. Perine managed to gain 603 rushing yards on 175 attempts (3.4 Yards Per Carry) and scored 1 rushing touchdown. Perine also recorded 182 Receiving yards on 22 receptions, grabbing one touchdown as well. Perine was able to display the potential of a pounding bruising type of running back. I like the aggression that he plays with, definitely has the identity of a downhill running back, one that runs north-south as opposed to east-west, he will run through you, not around you. He will be an intriguing piece of the offense moving forward, and I'm curious to see if the Redskins view him as the future starter moving forward or not.
