It's that time of the season again, snow falling, presents under the tree, Christmas music. The only way the Christmas season could be any better is if the Redskins could have mustered together a successful season. Unfortunately, that just wasn't in the stars. This team has holes in quite a few spots, but if I were able to choose 3 "Wishes" that the front office could grant, here are the 3 wishes I would make. Let's dive in.
1 : Resign Ryan Grant, sign a proven Wide Receiver : At a Wide Receiver group riddled with inconsistency and question marks, Ryan Grant has proven to be a reliable and consistent wide receiver. While the stats aren't there, he takes advantage of every opportunity he gets. He doesn't have the athleticism of Josh Doctson nor the elusiveness of Jamison Crowder, but every time his number is called, he's helped this team out. He's proven that he deserves a good role on this team, as a rotational man. Now, the Terrelle Pryor signing was a disappointment, to say the least. However, I still believe that we can sign a high-end Wide Receiver in free agency. Whether it be Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry, or any other proven Wide Receiver, I think that would be a good idea. Josh Doctson needs a mentor with proven success to help him in his development.
2 : Bring In An Offensive-Minded Assistant Coach : It's obvious how much the loss of Sean McVay hurt the offense this season. Yes, we lost Pierre Garcon, Desean Jackson and basically Jordan Reed for the whole season, but this offense lacked creativity. While I do think Jay Gruden isn't a bad play caller per say, I just think he needs someone to help spice some things up. I understand that if you don't have the personnel on the field to call certain plays, it's hard to do much, but we need some more creativity out there.
3 : Resign Zach Brown : While the defense hasn't played up to par this season, there have been some bright spots. One of those bright spots is Zach Brown. The Redskins signed him to a one-year "Prove It" deal, and boy has he proved himself. His 127 tackles is first in the NFL, and he's proven his toughness by playing through a multitude of injuries. His tenacity and fire for the game of football is something that you need at the heart of a defense. Resigning him should be at the top of the Redskins' agenda this off season.
HONORABLE MENTIONS : Resign Kirk Cousins to an affordable deal, Draft a homerun Running Back, fire Special Teams Coordinator Ben Kotwica, let Deangelo Hall walk/retire, re-sign Spencer Long and move him to Left Guard, Relieve Bruce Allen of his duties.

Resigning Zach Brown should be number one on this list.
