Round 1, Pick 13 : Arden Key, DE (LSU) : Once thought to be a “lock top 5” pick, LSU’s Arden Key has been hit with injuries and inconsistency this past season with the Tigers, causing him to drop on many draft boards. Arden stands at 6”6 weighing 270lbs. In other words, the dude is built like a machine. With over 20 career sacks in 3 years at LSU, Arden Key would be a promising pairing with 2nd year Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen. If Arden is available when the Redskins are picking with the 13th overall selection, his talent alone should be a reason to run to the podium and make that pick.
Round 2, Pick 13 : Anthony Miller, WR (Memphis) : Anthony Miller, a senior out of Memphis, has drawn many Antonio Brown comparisons after his brilliant senior year for the Tigers. Racking up just over 1400 yards with 17 TDs, Kirk Cousins would be licking his chops if the Redskins made this pick. The Terrell Pryor signing has been a massive failure, and Josh Doctson hasn’t showed that he can do it all himself just yet, so this pick makes a ton of sense for the Redskins. Kirk Cousins or not, any QB would love to be in a high powered offense with Anthony Miller, Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder. If Miller is available with the 45th overall pick, there shouldn’t be any doubt in him. Pull the trigger.
Round 3, Pick 13 : Mark Andrews, TE (Oklahoma) : If you haven’t heard of Mark Andrews, then get on your computer right now and watch this dude play. There is a reason he has been drawing all these Travis Kelce comparisons and that reason is because he’s a machine. With nearly 2,000 career yards and 22 TDs in his 3 years at Oklahoma, Mark Andrews isn’t your traditional Tight End. With the health of Jordan Reed consistently up in the air and Vernon Davis' career winding down, Mark Andrews fits the bill perfectly. A threat in the run and pass game, Andrews could complete that offense alongside Anthony Miller and the rest of the studs that are in burgundy and gold. This selection could give Kirk Cousins no reason but to sign with the Skins and play in an elite, high powered offense.
Round 4, Pick 13: Sony Michel, RB (Georgia)
Round 5, Pick 13: Anthony Averett, CB (Alabama)
Round 6, Pick 13: Luke Falk, QB (Washington State)
Round 7, Pick 13: Dorian O’Daniel, LB (Clemson)
Round 7, Pick 28: Sean Walsh, C (Iowa)
