Studs & Duds From #WASvsLAC

The highly respected redskins blog, @HTTR.NATION goes over his studs and duds from the Redskins game this past week. Check it out below!

STUDS

LB Zach Brown : Zach Brown might have been the biggest steal of free agency. He racked up 10 tackles and a pass deflection against L.A. He still leads the NFL in tackles and is a must sign when the season ends.

LT Trent Williams : Silverback was able to shut down Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, going against each on a decent amount of plays. He is playing his best football on a knee that requires surgery in the off season. This man is an absolute warrior and in my opinion the best Offensive Lineman in football, let alone offensive tackle.

DUDS

HC Jay Gruden : It's getting to be the same story here for Jay Gruden. I feel like I am repeating myself when saying this (which I probably am) but the play calling was questionable at best and the team was yet again not prepared. I understand that the team is packed to the brim with injuries, but history repeats itself.

QB Kirk Cousins : Cousins had one of his worst games since becoming the Redskins' starter. He finished with just 151 yards and 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The yards are his lowest since becoming a starter in 2015. Just overall not a good game from him.

DC Greg Manusky & The Defense : The Chargers did whatever they wanted to, however they wanted to and the Redskins couldn't do anything about it. The defense is very banged up, but Manusky's adjustments are the death of us at times. He doesn't allow Norman to shadow receivers, his blitzes have become uncreative and his "tough" defense hasn't looked the part in awhile.

Offensive Execution : This falls on the QB and play caller mostly (which I've already touched on) but the offense was bad at best. Nothing really worked in the pass game and the run game was essentially a waste of a play every time. Just an overall poor performance and a burn the tape game.
